WE've traded "steak on plate" for "pie in sky." I think that if we believe that the kingdom is all future and spiritual that, fundamentally, we have an escapist take on reality - and therefore our practice will be to escape rather than engage. If, on the other hand, we believe that the kingdom is earthly and practical (very much like Jesus), our only response is to engage with the world in order to see it transformed into a more "kingdom-like" place.<BR/><BR/>Thy kingdom come on earth, as it is in heaven.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
